Danie obtained B.Eng (Cum Laude). and MScEng (Cum Laude) degrees from Stellenbosch University, South Africa in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He is currently a full-time employee at EM Software and Systems - S.A. (Pty) Ltd in Stellenbosch. Danie is also persuing his PhD in Computational Electromagnetics, which is currently focussed on Domain Decomposition techniques. At EMSS, he is working as part of the team that produces the commercial CEM software package FEKO. Danie has been a member of the computational electromagnetics group (CEMAGG) at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department since 2008.
Danie’s research interests include electromagnetic modelling techniques such as the method of moments, high performance computing (HPC), parallel programming, antenna design and energy efficiency. He is also a keen mountain biker and trail-runner.
