Robert has been a member of the computational electromagnetics group (CEMAGG) at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department since 2009.

His research interests include High Performance Computing and EM modelling using the FDTD on a variety of computing platforms such as cpu clusters, shared memory processors, GPUs and the Bluegene/P. He is currently looking at speeding up FDTD computations using the AVX and GPU capabilities available in multicore CPUs.
